Our mission is to protect, conserve and enhance the wooded environment for current and future generations. We endeavour to restore the balance of nature through sustainable forest management, habitat preservation and the promotion of biodiversity.

Through education and community engagement, we empower individuals to appreciate the vital role forests play in the health of our planet and inspire them to take meaningful steps towards environmental stewardship.

Together, we aim to create a thriving natural legacy where people and nature coexist in harmony, fostering a world where forests flourish, the air is cleaner, and ecosystems are resilient.

We believe that meaningful change begins with hands-on experience and active participation. Our approach focuses on engaging individuals and communities directly with the wooded environment, fostering a deeper connection to nature and its importance in our lives.

We actively promote traditional trades and crafts that are rooted in woodland heritage, such as coppicing, hedge-laying, and sustainable timber management. By preserving these time-honoured skills, we not only support local economies but also ensure the continuation of practices that enhance biodiversity and sustain woodland ecosystems.

Through practical workshops, community-led projects, and immersive learning opportunities, we provide individuals with the knowledge and tools to make a real impact. From planting trees to managing woodlands sustainably, our hands-on activities empower participants to become stewards of their natural environment.

By blending traditional wisdom with modern conservation techniques, we aim to create a balanced, sustainable approach to protecting and enhancing the wooded environment for generations to come

The team behind Rooted has been managing woodlands since 2013. Over the years, we have transformed woodlands into thriving spaces that balance conservation, biodiversity and community engagement.

Building on this strong foundation, our charity was established to expand the reach of our mission, protecting and enhancing wooded environments far beyond the original woodland we have nurtured.

Through our efforts, we have restored habitats, supported biodiversity, and safeguarded woodland ecosystems. Our work has also provided countless opportunities for individuals to connect with nature through hands-on experiences, educational workshops, and training in traditional woodland crafts.

Our impact extends to the community, where we have fostered a deeper understanding of the value of woodlands and inspired action toward their protection. By blending practical conservation with education and heritage promotion, we are creating a legacy of healthier woodlands and empowered communities for future generations.
